Handmade Fishing Floats
Hello, and welcome to JRB floats.
My name is James Reid, I have been fishing for as long as I can remember, which is several decades now! Be it on the river or beside a lake there is nothing quite like watching a float, anticipating the bite, be it dipping away or lifting and running it is always the excitement of what will be meet with the strike.
Back in 2020 while I sat in my garden like many others, I had time on my hands, I had done all the jobs that needed doing in and around the house, had gone through and sorted all my fishing tackle and was getting a little bored. So, while browsing the internet I came across a starter kit to make floats, hmm I thought this might be fun, so I ordered one, and so the addiction started.
While out on our daily walk with my wife I started to pick and collect everything I thought I could use to make floats, I experimented with different types of material and my collection of floats grew. Later that year my wife asked me what I was going to do with all the floats I was making and suggested that I sell them, and so in October of 2020 “JRB floats” was born. I have a nice workshop and “mancave” to build my creations in.
